Walley’s Wishes | A Princess Pop-Up Fundraising Event
Join us for a heartwarming day at the Annual Bravehearts Fundraiser for Walley's Wishes!
On Saturday, May 11, come on down during open play and be a part of something truly special.
Princesses and other characters will be brought to life by BraveCubs - Penn State medical students who dress up as their favorite characters to bring smiles to kids’ faces!
All proceeds from this event will go toward creating Walley’s Wishes boxes! :)
Pop-Up Play and Bingo (w/ Special Guest)

Pop-Up Princess
Everyone has heard the story of Princess Cinderella, but for the first time ever, Where the Wild Things Play has received news of a brand new Princess, Rainbow Ella and her magical unicorn, Star. From the land of rainbows and unicorns, a princess was born to bring color and magic to cloudy days and happiness to make your dreams come true. When Rainbow Ellla hugs her magical unicorn, Star, it’s time for everyone to sing, Starlight, Star bright, first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might have the wish I wish tonight. Wish for what makes you happy, and Rainbow Ella and Star will brighten your day! In their first ever appearance, Rainbow Ella and Star will be popping into Open play on Saturday, April 13 from 9:30 to 10: 30, to make your day bright with a rainbow craft, autographs, pictures and free wishes, all included with your admission. Come welcome Princess Rainbow Ella and Star and help her spread her happiness and color everywhere!
Countdown to 2024!
Let’s get wild together one last time in 2023 as we count down to the NOON-year! Join us for a special Open Play event that will end in a fun and festive countdown to 2024!
The event begins at 10:30am and will end at 12PM with our countdown to noon.
Tickets are $12.50 (plus tax) per person - please book for each person in your party!
Cookies with Santa
Get festive with us this holiday season! We'll be decorating cookies, enjoying lots of active and imaginative play, visiting with and taking photos with Santa and enjoying other holiday-themed activities. Come share the magic of the season with us as we sing along to our favorite holiday songs and share in some of our favorite holiday traditions.
Tickets include one adult and one child. Add on additional adults and children at checkout.

Pop Up Gratitude Party (with our favorite Blue Heeler)
Help us introduce our favorite Blue Heeler to Thanksgiving! Join us for an evening of pop up play on Friday November 10th from 5:30 to 7:00pm. We'll play games, make a group gratitude tree, and create a fun Thanksgiving craft.
Feel free to BYOD (Bring Your Own Dinner) - we'll have communal dining tables set up!
Halloween | Spooktacular Sensory Experience
Grab your Halloween costumes and join us for a morning of play - packed with some of our favorite sensory experiences!
Sensory stations (like a what’s-in-the-box activity for our brave young friends, a spaghetti dig*, and more).
Apple Nachos
Our favorite Hedgehog Walley will join us for a Glow Party dance break**
A trick-or-treat prize for each child
This event is allergy-friendly with accommodations made for our friends with gluten, nut, and dairy allergies. We are not a certified allergy-free facility, but there will be snack options that do not include any of the above ingredients, and our prizes are non-food prizes. As a family impacted by Celiacs Disease, we know how hard Halloween can be.
*Is the spaghetti gluten free? You bet!

- Visit, pictures, play, and our favorite Heeler family games with Bluey
- Pet adoption activity (your child will come home with a plush new friend!)
- Puppy chow and Foltz Soft Pretzels (Fri) or Speciality Breakfast Muffins from Bentley's Bakery (Sat)
Tickets include one child and one adult. Siblings and extra adults can be added at booking. Children under 12 months are free!

Walley’s Wishes | A Princess Pop-Up Fundraising Event
Join us as we launch Walley’s Wishes - a new initiative at Where the Wild Things Play where we create party-in-a-box style pop up parties for children who are hospitalized during their birthdays or other special events (their siblings, too!). We’re launching this initiative with a Princess and Character pop-up party!
The event will include activities like Snow White Says, a freeze dance with Elsa, character autographs, fun backdrops for character photos, and more! We’ll make more character announcements as we get closer to the event.

Elsa the “Ice Queen” Visits Where the Wild Things Play
Elsa the “Ice Queen” is coming to Where the Wild Things Play for a snow-themed, mid-winter celebration! In addition to open play, guests will have the opportunity to create sensory snow-themed play doh, cut snowflakes to make a group mural, and test out their snowman building skills with their tasty treat! :) Elsa will join us from 6pm to 7pm.
